Apollo Live Entertainment – Apollo Soul – Alrewas Hayes – 25th August
Nestled alongside the picturesque Fradley in Lichfield, you will find Alrewas Hayes, a grade 2 listed manor house and countryside wedding venue. Apollo Soul Wedding Band Birmingham was hired to perform on the day for the evenings entertainment.
The Alrewas Hayes estate offers a stunning setting for your big day, with beautiful scenery and grounds for capturing those incredible moments. Alrewas Hayes is located in Staffordshire and can be your exclusive wedding venue to enjoy, offering a stunning civil ceremony space if required.
The converted barns and Marquee over looked by the stunning lake and courtyard have been beautifully renovated, offering plenty of gorgeous light and space to entertain.
Today the lovely Kate and James married surrounded by family and friends at the stunning Alrewas Hayes. The theme – Hollywood with each table named after a famous actor. The table plan was set out like an advert for a movie – really fun and playful.
Evening guests started to arrive at 7:30pm following an incredible day. The guests arrive and walk into the barn, which immediately leads to the stunning marquee, which is very impressive. The first thing to notice is this evening you will be entertained by the most incredible band Apollo Soul.
Apollo Soul is a 6-piece industry-leading act that performs at over 120 weddings a year, making them one of the busiest bands in the country.
The band has brought with them an array of beautiful led lights, which have lit the room, highlighting the character of the space. Its immediately impressive to see the set up as you walk in, the band look professional – they certainly sounded great in sound check.
Its time to get the rest of the formalities out of the way before the party can let their hair down; its time to cut the cake and do the first dance as Mr and Mrs.
One of the band members liaised with the photographer, wedding co-ordinator and the bride and groom to confirm first dance. We were impressed how he co-ordinated the cake cutting and announced this to the wedding party to ensure everybody was present. Following a count down he then lead the bride and groom to the dance floor and organised guests around the couple to capture the moment on film.
Apollo Soul waited at stage side ready to play the first set, which began straight after the first dance.
The set was a mix of classic and contemporary hits such as Ain’t nobody, Night to remember, All night long and many more. Apollo Soul featured two vocalists (male and female) who create an incredible energy together, which really engaged the crowd. Apollo Soul also features a saxophonist offering a fantastic experience for the party.
Following a great first set its time for food; tonight it’s a selection of cheese and crackers plus pulled pork and slaw baps. Apollo Soul’s DJ has prepared the background music whilst guests are eating, drinking and dancing.
Apollo Soul prepare for the last set of the evening and deliver a range of incredible songs to re-energize the party. Tonight we are particularly impressed with the efforts from the bridal party who own the dance floor all night. Following the second set, the bride and groom are treated with a gift from the band – a live DJ and sax set playing some Ibiza classics to really keep the energy up. This was a hit with the party and finished off the day with a touch of class.
